My BBC designed studio monitors.

April 5, 2013 By Martyn Baker

I recently found this old article from “Hi-Fi Answers” dated 1976. In it you can see all about the audio system that I use in my studio. I can’t imagine using anything else really. The system uses 4 x Quad 404 amplifiers bi-amped into BBC LS5/8 speakers. They are rated at 100 watts RMS, so can be very loud and clear. They are excellent at low volume levels too. These type of speakers have been used across all types of BBC studios and O.B. trucks.
